Mission: Time After Time
Location: Station Operations - T'mpest's Office

ON

T'mpest sent a message to the chief and assistant chief engineers, as well as Cara, asking them to meet her in her office at their earliest convenience. The station was mostly repaired, but there was still a lot to do on the station and the colony and she wanted to hear was engineering needed going forward.

Cara was just finishing up her reading of the reports on what had been done. Her head perked up when she heard T'mpest's call. "On my way, Commodore" rising up from her desk and headed to T'mpest's office. Stepping inside "Greetings T'mpest." At the moment it was just herself and T'mpest in the office.

"Please, have a seat. I know Lieutenant P'ril is new, but I would like to know what she has done since her arrival and what she sees being done moving forward."

P’ril would have liked a couple more hours of sleep, but she could manage on what she’d had. There was a lot to do and sleeping more felt wrong somehow. She would catch up later.

For now, though, there was a meeting. She arrived punctual and gave a nod of greeting to the two already there, then chose a seat to wait.

Alejandro was the last to arrive to the meeting. " Forgive me for my tardiness, I just came off shift and came directly here, I hope I haven't missed out on anything important as of yet. " He sat down at the table and waited for the discussion to begin again.

P’ril gave him the same greeting nod she had given the other two, but still said nothing. There was nothing to say, yet, after all.

T'mpest gave a nod to the two engineers. "Thank you both for coming. I know that you are busy with repairs. As I am still getting caught up, I would appreciate a verbal report on your recent work and what you need going forward."

Cara's dark eyes watched as both P'ril and Alejandro stepped inside T'mpest's office. She knew Alejandro from Poseidon Station, P'ril she didn't know but the chief engineer looked like someone who knew her job and wasn't anyone to shirk their duties.

Alejandro smiled at P'ril. " It is a pleasure to be working with you Lieutenant. I am a general engineer and I specialize in damage control and shields. I would like to take a look at our stations shields to see if we could benefit from an upgrade. We could keep the old system online until the upgrades are complete. "

“That is agreeable,” replied P’ril. Any time anybody wanted to upgrade anything was fine with her. Provided the upgrades were actually better, of course.

Alejandro looked about the office. " I know most stations I've worked on they have a small replicator in the chief's or assistant chief's office. Could you replicate a few coffee cup please? " He asked holding up a Liter thermos. I always bring fresh brewed coffee either on the job or when I meet someone, I enjoy sharing a cup with people. "

T'mpest generally preferred herb tea, but she nodded to Cara. "I am fine, but perhaps the others would like something. Would you help the lieutenant, please?"

Cara gave a nod, procuring the requested cups for those who were wishing it. She's had Alejandro's coffee before and it was good. She'll have some .

While the coffee cups were being replicated, T'mpest began. "I am meeting with all senior staff to get an idea of what you feel is necessary for your department moving forward."

“Necessary to do, or to have?” P’ril asked for clarification. Because, of course, there were no material good that were needed- the station was stocked to the gills- but there were many repairs to be made.

"Either. I cannot promise anything, but I will consider every request." T'mpest knew there would be some she disagreed with and others Starfleet would refuse.

“There is much to be done,” P’ril admitted. “Repairs, of course, general maintenance, upgrades. The usual tasks. I can have a complete list of what repairs remain to be done by the end of the day. Upgrades are ongoing, of course, and maintenance is a set schedule, though I could provide those details as well if you prefer.

“As for material needs, everything appears to be well stocked,” she continued. “Although the only way to be certain is to take a complete inventory, which would take several weeks.”

"For now, I would like the more urgent needs. Once the station is back to normal, we can talk of upgrades--unless it would be more efficient to make some of them now." T'mpest was aware that there would always be need of some upgrades and repairs, but she wanted to get the more critical needs met while Starfleet was feeling beneficent. "Send me what you can in the next day and we will go from there."

“Of course,” replied P’ril. The list was already nearly compiled, but would need a few updates based on anything recently completed or new issues reported. “I will have it on your desk by the end of the day.”

"Thank you," T'mpest said. "That would be appreciated. Is there anything you feel is urgent? Or anything we need to be aware of?" It was a broad question, but hopefully it would let the engineer know they were open to whatever P'ril thought they should be aware of.

“Not at this time,” replied P’ril. “Any urgent repairs have been completed. Ongoing repairs have been arranged in order of importance, however, none of them will save lives.”

"Good to hear that you have things under control. "That is all I have for the moment. Please let me know if that changes."

“Of course,” replied P’ril with a slight nod of her head.

T'mpest turned to Cara to see if she had anything to add.

"That is all for now, on my end. Though don't be too surprised if I come visit Engineering." A twinkle in Cara's eyes when she said this."
