“So,” a bunch of flowers appeared as the door to the shop opened and then moved to the left to reveal Liam’s face. “I’m told that a very beautiful women called round my quarters yesterday, bearing exotic gifts.”
He stepped inside and handed her the bouquet, sensing both amusement and some relief off the Bajoran. He hoped she hadn’t been thinking he was ignoring her and the gesture she had made, so reassured her.
“These are to say sorry that I only just got to come say thank you. I was quite busy with work yesterday, and then my best mate announced he was having a baby and, well, I didn’t get home until quite late before Jo told me about your visit. I didn’t think you would appreciate me waking you up.”
Tera’s large blue eyes widened in surprise at seeing Liam standing there with flowers. She honestly had thought he wanted nothing to do with her, thought maybe she really couldn’t trust that Jo lady. She might not tell him, or she just might have hijacked her gift for a little fun with Liam herself.
“Liam! I...they’re beautiful,” she said, flipping the sign on her window to CLOSED. “You...you don’t need to apologize. I was the one that acted like a jerk,” she assured him, taking the flowers. “Please, come in. Congratulations to your friend.”
Tera wore a blue dress that clung to her generous figure, the skirt coming to just half thigh. Heels made her already tall figure taller. It was cut low enough to tease at cleavage without being too revealing. She bent over to retrieve a Bajoran vase, filled it in the replicator, and then started arranging the flowers in it on the counter.
Liam took the invitation and walked round the counter. He smiled as she clearly liked the flowers. And then he smiled again at the view when she bent down in that dress.
“Hang on, Tera,” he said softly, coming up beside her when she suddenly started busying herself arranging. He gently took the flowers out of her hands for a second. Her perfume suddenly hit his senses and the soft feel of her hands in his was fast driving him nuts. He had to kiss her.
So he did. He leaned in a placed a soft, sensual kiss on her lips.
Tera was a bit surprised, but pleased. She turned in his arms and slid her hands around behind his neck, toying with the hair at the nape as her mouth opened invitingly, her tongue dancing with his as they kissed for what seemed like eternity until they needed to breathe.
“I have been dying to do that again,” he confessed, catching his breath once more. Leaning back against the counter, she was even more beautiful closer up, he decided.
"Can you come out to play?" he asked, a mischievous look on his face. "I have a holoprogram I thought you might enjoy. As a second date. If your still interested, of course."
Tera blushed, still a little flushed from the kiss, her heart still racing. “I...I really should get some work done,” she said, glancing at the work room in the back of the shop, worrying her full lower lip with perfect white teeth. “But yes. I suppose one day couldn’t hurt,” she said with a shy smile. “What should I wear?” she asked.
"Well, as much as I like that dress and the shoes," LIam said slipping his hands to her waist when she returned back to him, "and I really love that dress and the shoes, but we are going to be out in the country. Flats might be more comfortable. Actually, you might want to wear something more comfortable. We are going on some rides and going to get flung around," he grinned.
Tera looked at Liam, perplexed. “Riding and flung around?” she asked. “What exactly do you have planned?” She blushed. “Come upstairs, then. No reason for you to wait down here while I change.” She led him to the other door in back, next to the work room. It opened to stairs that led up to her apartment above the shop.
“Can I get you anything while you wait?” Tera asked, reaching back to unfasten her dress. The fitting garment fell loose, but not away as she walked into her apartment. “Feel free to use the replicator or the kitchen.” She nodded to the small kitchen space.
Liam ordered a glass of water and then was unsure where to look. As Tera's apartment seemed to have only one room and a very small bathroom, and she was getting undressed in the same space as him. On one hand, after their night together he had seen every part of her, he could happily help her out of that dress, but on the other this was their second date. He was trying to be a gentleman. He was hoping she was going to become his girlfriend and didn't want to come off sleazy. Also, the idea of Tera suddenly being semi-dressed...well, best not to think about that.
So he did the right thing and turned around and looked at some of the things adorning her wall.
Tera chuckled. “You weren’t so shy on our first date,” she commented, moving behind a changing screen near her bed that was painted with pastoral scenes of Bajoran farm life. Only her silhouette was visible as she shimmied out of the dress and tossed it to hang over the screen. She rifled through the closet and armoire that was behind the screen for some clothes. She finally pulled on a pair of black shorts that were very short and a blue tank top that matched her eyes, hugged her figure, and revealed plenty of cleavage. It was casual, but also very sexy. She came out from behind the screen and bent over, digging around under the bed until she came up with a pair of blue canvas shoes.
“Is this okay?” she asked Liam, fetching a pair of cute ankle socks and sitting on the bed to pull them on. Then she reached up to tie her long, dark hair into a tight pony, her breasts lifting as she did.
"You look perfect," Liam said softly, coming to stand in front of her and holding his hand out to pull her up. "I really like…” He looked over her short shorts and top, grinning. Tera knew exactly what effect she was going for wearing all this. "Like your socks. They are very cute." It was the safest thing to comment on without letting his mind go into overdrive.
Tera grinned and placed a kiss on Liam’s cheek. “So let’s go get flung around?” she said, unsure if she got the Terran colloquialism right. She slipped her arm in Liam’s as they went down the stairs and headed out of her shop.
