"Good evening all, this is Chuck Finley, Ace reporter", a man with dark hair and a bright, fake smile said. Dressed in slacks and a casual shirt, he looked at the person running the camera that was focused on him. "Earlier this evening, multiple civilians reported station Commander, Captain Maritza Soran, was seen on the promenade in something other than her uniform.
He smiled turning his body slightly and extending his arm to the busy promenade, and looked that way for a dramatic pause and then returned his focus to the camera.
One older witness had this to say, "It was hard to tell if it was the Captain. Her uniform was all bluish, it almost looked like a dress. She wore fancy shoes that almost looked like heels. It was almost like she was going on a date. That would be so good for her, she's too pretty of a woman to work her life away. My husband wouldn't believe me. 'No way my captain would be seen like that' he told me."
"Indeed, would the station's Commander wear heels, in public?", Finley asked. "Some say she might be sick. Others are wondering if the stress of running this massive station is finally getting to her. She's a workhorse another of her fans said. Speaking of workhorses, here at FNN we are working hard to bring you, our viewers, more information on this story as it becomes available. This is Chuck Finley, Federation News Network signing off."
He gave an exaggerated point at the camera and a huge smile. After a moment the camera man gave a cut sign.
"Did the boss really send me out here to report on this crap?", he asked the camera man. "A targ giving birth would be a better society interest story than this drivel. So the woman had a fucking date. Why the hell did he send me out here?"
"Maybe it is because you slept with his wife?" the camera man asked with a shrug.
"Geesh, you would think the man would be over that by now", Finley said, motioning to the Box while making a drinking motion.
"I don't know, it was only two weeks ago", the camera man said with a sigh, following the reporter to the bar.
