Mission: Doors of Perception
Location: Promenade Security Office
Timeline: MD05 1230

Aleczandra just gave Yolanthe a two finger salute. “Am I done here? I think I’d rather be in calculus,” she said dryly.

Caleb glanced at Yolanthe. “Do ya still need her?” he asked.

The Bokkai looked at Aleczandra. There was something off about the girl. She seemed unperturbed by her involvement with the disappearance of a young man. Or maybe she was just judging the younger woman by her own standards. "No, i think we're--Stop!"

She had seen Ahjess on the screen, with Aleczandra, in a gloomy corridor in the depths of the station. They disappeared inside a pair or doors at the end if the corridor. "Where’s that?"

Caleb frowned and leaned in. “An old machine shop and scrap facility,” he said. “In the industrial park.” He pulled up a registry and typed a bit. “Currently abandoned.”

Aleczandra frowned. “What am I doing down there?” she asked. “I definitely wouldn’t go somewhere like that. And not with some rando guy.”

Yolanthe glanced at the younger girl. Being willing to deny evidence in front of her face, she wasn't worth dealing with. She was on the border of completely losing touch with reality in Yolanthe's opinion. "Shush. The grown ups are talking." She looked at Caleb. "Well, that's my boy. What about the woman after your girl?"

“This is two days ago,” Caleb said, noting the time stamp on the footage of Ahjess and Aleczandra.

Then Caleb switched over to where the search was running for information on the Trill woman to see what it had come up with so far.

Caleb pulled up an image. “Found her!” he said. “Going into The Starlight,” he said. “Obviously we don’t have security sensors in there. The hotel was a mid-range economy chain favored by governments looking to save on credits but still have decent accommodations.

"Well, It looks like we both have our targets. Can you keep that running see if she showed up anywhere else?"

Caleb nodded. “I’ll leave it running and collate everything,” he said. “Thank ya for your assistance, Ms. Ibalin,” Caleb told Yolanthe.

“Yeah, thanks,” Aleczandra added reluctantly. She was still staring at the still image of her with Ahjess. What the hell had she been up to? Or, rather, Juheni or one of the others in her head.

Yolanthe shrugged. "I look after my boys," she said. “Your problem just intersected. Oh, one more thing. Have either of you heard of a Trill called Hex?”

Caleb and Aleczandra frowned and looked at each other. Zandra shook her head.

“No,” Caleb said. “Can’t say Ah have. We ain’t had much to do with other Trill since Zandy’s mama died. Her grandparents didn’t much approve of me, bein’ Human an’ all.” Caleb gave a sad smile. “Why?”

"Your Trill woman asked about them. Said they were on the station. I thought maybe they'd know more. She was trying to find them too. I told her to talk to Trellis."

“Well, let’s see what we can find,” Caleb said. “Assumin’ they used their real name.” He turned to the computer to pull up the official manifest and searched for Hexx.

It came back blank. Yolanthe sighed. "Worth a shot." She dusted down her palms. She would have to find Ahjess the long way. “If he pings on that, let me know. And if I spot your woman again? You want me to...detain her?"

Caleb frowned. “No,” he said. “She hasn’t done anythin’ illegal yet,” he said. “Keep an eye on her an’ let me know. Give me a call.” He would have to think of a reason to confront the woman. He couldn’t exactly just have Security pick her up, not now that he was trying to play by the rules again.

"Then good hunting." There was nothing more to say. They both had their targets now. The chase was on.
