Yolanthe turned as the Cardassian called her name. She turned a softer shade of blue. Perhaps he was ready to confine Draxx after all, "Yes" she checked his collar pips, "Lieutenant?"

"What the hell was that?" he raised his voice as he neared her and came to a stop. "You might not be aware but I'm new here and you just made me look like an idiot. Why lie? You do realise I could arrest you for impersonating a lawyer" he was annoyed and clearly flustered.

She raised an eyebrow as the colour of her skin slowly changed from blue back to violet, "As I told the little thing back there, Draxx asked me to come here and act as his lawyer. The fact the he then engaged someone else shows he's a cunning little boy who knows how to deflect people." She gave him a patronising little smile. "He's doing it now sweetie, you're out here talking to me when you should be talking to him "

"I'll speak with him, don't you worry about that" Ryan told her bluntly then let out a sigh. "Why would he be requesting you to act as his lawyer. What's the relationship between the two of you?"

Yolanthe shrugged. "Honestly? I have no idea. His sister is my chef. She's working wonders on my bar food menu." She crossed her arms over her chest. "Draxx is cocky and and has no manners. He was supposed to help me rescue a dear friend of mine from slavers. He betrayed me, and left me to rot."

"Just stay out of security alright? Please? I'll deal with him appropriately..." he had calmed down now considerably "Did you manage to rescue this friend of yours?" he added.

Well, it was sweet of him to ask. Maybe there was hope for this one yet. "Yes, I did." she looked at him, "Though I'll only stay out of security if you agree to come down to my bar soon, and let me get to know you in more salubrious circumstances?"

Ryan smiled and he nodded appreciatively. "I will come down to your bar I promise. When is the best time to go?"

"For you, I'm always open," she purred, the blue tones returning to her skin, stronger now.

"Is that so? Because I can't be sure whether you're being genuine or you're playing me? Care to elaborate?"

"No." She laughed, "But why don't you come down to The Box after your shift and find out. I have all hand crafted beers, wines and spirits, and the bar snacks are all cooked in house from the finest ingredients." The blue of her skin and hair got more saturated, "And if that doesn't tempt you I'm sure I can find some thing else that will. Or someone."

Ryan thought carefully for a moment. "I accept your invitation. I'll be there. But you stay out of Draxx' way and out of my department, that's my condition remember"

"And I'd love to comply," Yolanthe said, "But Draxx is a pest who won't go away, and I keep suffering from break ins, false accusations and bodies left on my doorstop. Until you put Raddon and Gabriel in a cell, I suspect we'll be seeing a lot of each other."

"Trust me, there's nothing I'd love more than to bring them down" he admitted honestly.

"So you've met them?" she said brightly. "I have an excellent kanar, or a Denevian Mead if you need to get the taste out of your mouth."

Ryan nodded his head. "I knew Dorian from the last time I was here. You know what I think I will take you up on that offer. As long as it's non alcoholic though...still on duty. You can fill me in, I need to know all I can"

She slipped her arm into his, stooping slightly to compensate for her greater height, "Then come this way."

As they walked she told him about the whole situation, the increasing tension between the Humans first and others, the break in at the Box of Delights that had resulted in the young boy going over the mezzanine railings. "They say I murdered him. Which is absurd. Yes, I pushed him, but when someone rushes you in the dark, what do you do? If i realised he was a boy, and a child at that, I would have just let him hit me. But its instinct."

Ryan nodded. "I understand but then again I see both sides..." he said with a shrug of his shoulders. "Quite a tricky spot to be in. It seems to me...provided you're telling me the truth that it was just an accident, a terrible one at that. An accident that certain people on this station have used to deepen the rift and to cause trouble. I will be honest with you...Miss-" he stopped. "...Yolanthe, I don't know what to do about Raddon and Co...all I can do is to wait to see if they drop their guard, make a mistake maybe?"

"Good luck with that." she snorted as they entered The Box of Delights. She moved behind the sinuous wave shape of her bar. "Raddon has a whole company behind him, and is being advised by a man who knows the station, its systems, and can apparently turn them off at the fiick of a switch. I think doing things the polite way leaves you outclassed. What's your poison?"

Ryan smiled. "Surprise me. And you mean the Starfleet way?" he smirked. "It's the only way I know, I have to think carefully about how I proceed otherwise I could be crossing a line, one I don't want to"

She started layering up a drink with assorted fruit juices "Time is not a luxury you have." Yolanthe thought of the B&E crew Gevran had arranged to check out Raddon's storage facility. They must have gone in by now. She wondered what they had found. "Raddon is quick, and clever, and up to something. After that boy had an accident, A Ferengi was left on my doorstep, dead. forty eight hours later, two Humans were left hanging from the awning of the Dilithium Chamber. My bar is a lightening rod for the other side. One of my staff has already gone missing. I don't want my people hurt."

Ryan knew without asking that Raddon could be behind all of what Yolanthe had just explained. "I understand, I do but as far as I have gathered so far the entire corporation is impenetrable. Hang on did you say humans? Why would they kill humans?" he asked.

She finished layering the drink, "Virgin Sunrise, with hesperat syrup rather than grenadine, so it packs a punch." She added two straws and pink umbrella. "And as for the humans." She shook her head, and grey tones infused her violet skin, "Well, it was only a matter of time before the aliens here decided pay an eye for an eye."

Ryan took a drink of the Virgin sunrise and was blown away and his expression showed that. "Wow...nice..." he said with a smile but quickly got back to business. "So to clarify Raddon and Co are responsible for all of what has happened and is happening?" he asked while looking her in the eye.

The grey infused violet gave way to a dark yellow. "I have absolutely no proof or evidence to support that theory," she sighed. "But if they're not behind it, then they're certainly off to the side. With pom-poms and fruit wedges."

Ryan laughed. "Yeah I can just imagine Dorian with pom poms, suits him" he said with a smirk and looked around at her bar then turned back to her. "You've got a great place here I think I'll come by a lot more" he said with a smile. "I've never met your species before what's the deal with your skin and the colours?" he wondered.

I can just see Dorian in one of those little skirts." She agreed, the yellow faded back to palest blue, her hair the colour of periwinkles. "And a lady never gives up her secrets. It's a mystery you'll have to solve on your own. But you're welcome to come back as often as you like to try and solve it."

"It may take me a while but I'll figure it out" he told her confidently and took another sip of his drink. "Did you know who that man was claiming to be his actual lawyer?"

She shook her head, "Never seen him before in my life. But Draxx's mucky fingers get everywhere, he's probably got one in every port."

"What does Draxx get involved with?"

She shrugged. "I find it best not to ask."

Ryan nodded. "Then I will" he told her with a smile. "Thank you for your time and hospitality as I said I'll be back soon most likely"
