"Right here is where his body was found; however, you can see here that the only blood found at the scene was only the pool around the Ferengi's body." Dorian said as he stepped over Nazl's body. "From what my sources have told me, they believe that the cause of death was multiple stab wounds with his own knife." Dorian said as he pressed a button and the holographic representation of the crime scene faded away.
Melvyn Raddon leaned back in his chair for several moments before he responded. "The Ferengi was to be taught a lesson." He said in a measured tone. "How did murdering him accomplish that task?" The Elder gentleman asked.
"Mr. Raddon, they were not supposed to murder the Ferengi. They were to corner him, beat him, and then leave him battered, bloody, and embarrassed in front of Yolanthe's bar." Dorian replied. "Ranjell is a professional, she has never gone off-task before." He said as he looked at the image on the monitor before returning his attention back to Melvyn.
"Where is she? I don't appreciate Security coming into my business to question my son over a damn Ferengi." Melvyn said, his voice rising. "I want an explanation for what happened and why my orders were not carried out as I laid them out." He said, his voice continuing to rise.
"I'm assuming that Starfleet has an idea if not a full description of Renjell by now. The last thing you want is for her to be further associated with your business. IF she steps foot in here, then that will give Commander Ryan the legal justification he needs to come back here with subpoenas." Dorian said. He knew from experience that Starfleet was looking for a reason to come back into Dilithium Chamber.
"Speaking of Commander Ryan, who is he and what do we know about him?" Raymond Raddon chimed in from where he was standing near his father. "He appears to be our biggest problem within the Security Department." He added.
"I'm not sure," Dorian said. "From what little I know, his wife was killed by a Ferengi Daimon Dys, evidently, Caleb had arrested him sometime prior to the death." Dorian said as he switched to a image of Daimon Dys. "Forensic reports show that the plasma manifold in Caleb's shuttle was sabotaged. Reports showed that Daimon Dys never fired a single shot at Caleb's shuttle, so there was no evidence that he was responsible for the crash." Dorian said.
"Wait. . .let me see if I've pieced this together properly: Commander Ryan's wife was killed by a Ferengi, and then his daughter was caught screwing a Ferengi during the hostage situation?" Raymond said as he pointed towards the holoprojection of the Ferengi Daimon. "And now that same Ferengi has been found dead on a station where he controls Security?" Raymond said with a short mirthless laugh.
Melvyn shared a knowing glance with his son before looking back at Dorian. "Mr. Gabriel, I think you have a lot of work ahead of you. However you deal with Ms. Ranjell's incompetence, I'll leave to you..." Melvyn said carefully.
"But I want this situation dealt with, immediately." He said with a not so gentle tone.
