Mission: Interlude - Day 2
Location: Dilithium Chamber - Dining Area
Timeline: MD2 - 0333

OLD:

Jelron heard the woman's voice before he ever saw her tall statuesque figure looming above. He wanted to stay and protect his brother, but he was too terrified of what the alien was going to do him if she ever got her hands on him. He tried to scramble to his feet, but he slipped on the growing pool of his brother's blood. He finally threw off the shoes and ran for his life before the alien could get down to reach him next.

NEW:

"Look, all I'm saying is that the Dominion equipment down there needs to be moved sooner rather than later before anybody else decides to go back down there." Waylon stated in an agitated tone.

"You are over-exaggerating, as always." Dorian said as he took a swig from his bottle. "As far as anybody important is concerned, the lower decks below the Promenade is nothing but a storage facility. They have no reason to go down there. More importantly, they would need a search warrant to go into our facility anyways." He said calmly.

"And what's to STOP them from getti---" Waylon began to say, but was cut-off.

"Because I still know the Magistrates on the station, more importantly, my contacts within Security would let me know the second someone tried to apply for one." Dorian replied. "I was the Chief of Security for years, I know this station better than the entire command staff." He said with a smirk as he took another swig from his bottle.

"I'm glad to see that you are so confident in the loyalty of others within your former department." Melvyn Raddon chimed in from his chair. "However, I would much rather prefer you---" Before the elder human could finish his sentence they heard a large crash on the other side of the dining area.

Waylon and Dorian immediately jumped to their feet, reaching for their weapons as they looked towards each other before slowly moving towards the source of the sound.

"Whoever you are, raise your hands and come out from behind the table." Dorian said with his weapon draw in the ready-position. He kept it trained on the general area of the noise, prepared to pull the trigger if necessary.

"I'm giving you until the count of three," Dorian said as he silently signaled for Waylon to make his way to the right side of the tables in order to flank the intruder.

"1....2...3---" Dorian stopped counting as he saw the thin, but clothed arms raise above its owner's head. The young boy timidly stood up and stood still, his entire body shaking life a leaf. "What the hell....?" Dorian asked rhetorically.

"Little boy...where are your parents and why aren't you at home?" Dorian said with heightened tension in his voice as he holstered his weapon. "What is your name?" He asked.

"Je---Jelron, she killed him! She killed my brother!" The young boy shouted as he began sobbing loudly.

"Hey...Dorian, this kid....this kid's got blood on him." Waylon said as he came close enough to observe the young boy, still sobbing painfully. "We gotta get this kid to Sick Bay or something!"

"Wait...I want to know what the hell happened...who is your brother and who killed him?" Mr. Raddon said as he quickly came over to the young boy now that the scene had been secured.

"Where did you come from, son?" Melvyn said as he kneeled to check the boy for any injuries.

"We--w--we were over at the Box of Delights, trying to run the replicator for fun and stuff, like we've done before...bu--bu--but that color-changer was there and she saw us...she saw us and th---" Jelron's words became caught in his throat as he began to sob again.

"It's okay son, you're safe now. Just tell us what happened." Mr. Raddon said in a comforting tone.

"S--sh-she fought him and then she just threw him over the balcony and KILLED HIM! THAT BITCH KILLED HIM!" He shouted as the memory consumed him again.

Melvyn embraced the sobbing boy as he looked at Dorian.

"Dorian. . .I will not stand by idly as our own children are brutally murdered by these barbaric monsters. . .I want you to deal with this by any means necessary." He said as he continued to comfort the boy.

"Yes, sir. . ." Dorian said coldly.
