Mission: Pangaea (Wrap up)

Would they trust her more now that they knew Pangaea was in her hands, or would they trust her less?

It was not a question that Isha could answer.

Taahk, along with the rest of the hearing had been present when Rusalka, the Fae Queen announced herself at the hearing and explained where the system had come from, and why.

Rusalka explained what had happened on the promenade many days earlier, and why the child Eviess had been taken, and could never be returned.

Rusalka explained why, as compensation she had given over Pangaea (in this dimension), and control of it's Guardians to Isha.

The explanations seemed to satisfy the authorities that Isha had not murdered the other Fae, that Isha had not been in control of her own actions.

After a long period in limbo she could resume the duties she had reluctantly accepted. What the fate of Pangaea would be was for the future to decide. For now further remote investigations would take place as Starfleet tried to determine the true role of the Guardians, and exactly what lay behind the portals.

There was an uneasy peace, and with so many ambassadors in residence there would be discussion and debate to come, but for now Isha had a chance to breath.

OOC Louise: Technically, this is the last post of the mission Pangaea. We'll have the mission open for a while as we wrap up the JPs, but we can now jump forward a month in time to the start of our free posting mission Interlude - a DS5 tradition after we finish a mission.
