New Mission

Good Morning Deep Space Fivers,

I finally have managed to shake off whatever it was that was preventing me from doing anything creative whatsoever. I've got my feet firmly back in my writing shoes.

I can't thank you all enough for continuing along without me and keeping things moving.

We will keep the Pangaea mission open for the time being so that we can wrap things up and in true DS5 tradition move to a period of free posting for character development while the Command Team work on the next 'structured' mission.

We'll also use this to trial a new way of keeping track of our mission days which should (hopefully) allow faster plot threads to keep up their pace and still allow slower threads to be posted in the right place. If it works we'll use it in the next mission.

What this means is that Isha is back in command of DS5 (how the 'murder' and planet worked out will be addressed in time partly through back posts, and partly in the context of IC discussions). Much as I'd be happy to play it through in game time, its much more important for me that we pick up momentum, and that you, the players can develop your characters and plots.

This will allow me to get some long awaited awards and a few promotions out there.

The one thing I ask is that during the Interlude mission NO incursions are made to Pangaea or any of the other planets - you may plot and scheme (if you're looking to land grab), do remote research/recon flights (if you're sciency or piloty), or negotiate for territory (if you're more diplomatically minded) but any posts involving invasions, landings hiding armies etc will be removed.

So, for Interlude please assume we have jumped at least a month ahead in time. Feel free to continue to post in Pangaea if your plot *must* occur in the jumped months, otherwise please start to use Interlude - Day 1.

Sorry for such a long post.

Louise
