Happy New Year!

Posted on Tue Jan 2, 2018 @ 6:09am by Captain Maritza Soran

..and welcome to 2018!

First off, I want to say well done to everyone. Christmas is traditionally slow, but we logged 66 posts this month, an average of 6.6 per player! That's phenomenal. We haven't had a month like that in several years. The last mission, Rumours, is now closed, so please move all posts to Victory Conditions. If your post has to take place in the previous mission, please clearly mark it as a Backpost.

I've also got some awards to hand out. Captains Personal Merit goes to Matt (Caleb), Debs (Liam) and Thom (Dorian) for all their help spinning plot over the last two years. Charlie (Alanna) gets meritorious new comer for jumping into to DS5 feet first, and a Rose Award for Liam for his relationship with Thereen Tera,

Over the coming months I've got some plans to improve the sim, including a Google hangout for the sim, updating the bio fields, aligning our current awards to the theta fleet system, and revising the rules. If there's anything you'd particularly like to see, feel free to drop me a PM.

Some rules I'm not going to revise are the participation rules. Everyone needs to answer their tags within 48 hours, and needs to login at least once a week (in case emails aren't going through.) If you can't make that then you need to request a LOA. If its going to be more than three weeks before you can tag, you need to request an Extended LOA, And unless you are on an LOA, you need to post at least 2 posts a month, preferably joint posts, that meet the length rule,

If you have any issues with meeting the participation rules, please drop me a pm and I'll give you all the help I can.

Lastly, Its been forever since we've done a Crew's Choice Award, and Its long overdue. I would like everyone to submit a nomination for Crew's Choice by the end of this month, and I'll announce the winner at the beginning of February.

Live long and prosper
Notty
